Make the everyday reset easier

  1. Lay out the longest tools first, then add smaller tools around their actual shapes.
  2. Keep a short daily set in the prime drawer and less-used tools nearby.
  3. Give bulky heads their own space rather than stacking handles into a jam.

Check the usable space

  • Measure tool-head height with the tool resting naturally.
  • Test opening and closing with tongs in their stored position.

Keep it looking put together

Align handles where you pick them up; a little open space makes the group easier to reset.

Avoid: Forcing long tools into narrow cutlery compartments.
