Make the everyday reset easier

  1. Pair lids with their containers while sorting and set unmatched pieces aside for review.
  2. Choose upright filing when lid shape and drawer height allow it; otherwise use shallow groups.
  3. Keep frequently used sizes together and put occasional shapes in a separate zone.

Check the usable space

  • Measure the tallest lid in the intended upright or flat orientation.
  • Allow fingers to grip a lid and check the drawer closes with the group loaded.

Keep it looking put together

Keep the lid zone beside its matching container family for a visual cue that is easy to maintain.

Avoid: Assuming similar-looking lids fit different container ranges.
